Love Cherish…a little beauty in Charleville

FashionFashion and Beauty BlogMy StyleUncategorized

Well as you know, I have talked a million times about Love Cherish..when I first started this blog one of my earlier posts was on all the gorgeous local Boutiques in the county Cork..and Love Cherish was top of the list…since then we’ve had snapchat and I am becoming a personal stalker of Love Cherish’s snaps (@lovecherish1)..Not only have they the most divine stock but Maeve is hilarious..she’s gorgeous inside and out and if shes not unpacking mountain loads of dresses and clothes, you’ll find her dressing up & modelling the new arrivals..(which I love as its always nice to see the clothes on)  or mopping floors haha no joke!!!

IMG_6645 (1)

Love Cherish is beautiful though and the shop has recently located, the space and look of it, is all things girlie and fabulous…the girls are so helpful and friendly too…I was so delighted to collaborate with Maeve and Love Cherish, and the gorgeous Emer Irish Fashaholic took my pics (Its hard work trying to make me look half decent so Emer’s a genius really!!),  I’m excited to share the looks with you guys over the next few days..

As Christmas is coming we all have that special occasion where we need a wow dress…or a little sparkle! And this look was a pretty special combo I fell in love with …

IMG_6635

Maeve has stock that you literally drool over and this piece was no exception ..its actually not a dress but a two piece..

IMG_6640

This sequin top is a bodysuit and the most comfortable piece ever…its perfect for the festive season too and look at the back…

IMG_6644

The back is see through mesh but fear not ladies you could still wear a bra with this perhaps black and it will still look gorgeous!

IMG_6625

The tulle skirt is so dreamy and I felt like a right little princess floating around Charleville..(albeit I did get a few funny looks :)!! Bear in mind it was morning time shooting this look!)

The top is €49 and currently sold out but due back on the 16th of December, you need to contact them pretty fast to get on the list xx And the skirt is available and priced at €82. You can contact the girls on (063) 21830.

Even if you don’t live near Love Cherish you should follow them on facebook..their stock is amazing and there is something new every week…All beautiful stock that you can order over the phone which I have done several times… plus you re supporting a local Irish Boutique and the beauty about Love Cherish is its so affordable.

IMG_6629

A perfect outfit for a Christmas party, wedding or balls, so don’t hang around with this look girls as it’ll be gone!

More to come in the next few days

Until then

Keeping it girlie with a Bomber jacket

Fashion and Beauty BlogMy Style

IMG_5836

Previously I posted a fab bomber jacket from Vanilla Boutique, and I think I’m currently having a love affair with bombers lately.

They are so easy to just thrown on over anything…this time round I threw them on with a cute skirt, and anything that’s not to hard to dress up or down is always a winner in my books!

IMG_5844

This bomber I picked up in new look in the sale for €18, couldnt just leave it there at that price. its a lovely comfy bomber, and the material is soft and breathable not stiff! Some sizes available here.

IMG_5839

The skirt is so comfy and its a fine knit kick out hem skirt from Penneys, there are still some available at the moment. Fringe boots are oldies from Dunne Stores. But you can find similar here.

IMG_5835

The black jumper underneath is Zara which I picked up last year but its a basic piece so they restock it every season and you’ll find it online here.

My hair was styled by the fabulous Aisling all her details are here and I popped a hairband in from New Look that cost me €4.99, my latest obsession by the way!!

All pics were by the Emer Irish Fashaholic  whose talents are never ending..

Hope you enjoy it as much as I did shooting these pics

Until next time

How to style a tulle skirt: Part 2

FashionMy Style

IMG_5780

Following up from my previous post on Tulle skirts, here’s another option and how I style mine! This is most definitely a more dressier take!

A tulle skirt always needs a little bit of sparkle to dress it up…now as you well know I’m guilty of this!! (The tulle skirt is as before from @Hazel Comyn designs)

My wardrobe would make a magpie proud…its insane, my husband is bewildered with the amount of loose sequins he finds on his clothes etc! But who can resist?

IMG_5791

This sequin piece is a cape that I picked up months back on Asos. I had no idea where I needed it for but I knew I loved it and had to have it! Low and behold it goes fabulously with a lot of pieces in the wardrobe. For €45 it was a bargain and you’ll find  a few similar ones here

IMG_5788

This is such a fun outfit, the plain white top underneath is penneys picked it up for €5 before summer, and it goes perfectly with the cape. Because there is so much detail in the cape you need to keep everything underneath plain and simple.

IMG_5749

The shoes are the same as the previous post and are an old pair from new look, but similar here

Again hope you like this look

Until next time my dollies

Casual Series: Jeans Part 2

FashionMy Style

What a day guys, its been 90..none the less I said I’d follow up on this casual series, so here it is another casual look from my wardrobe

IMG_5712

So this is me casually lingering around pink walls!! Ha kidding..(Pic Emer @Irishfashaholic)…the whole outfit is Penneys best!!

From Shoes to Sweatshirt. I love this look as its so simple and easy to wear, great for running after my 2 year old rugrat, and flying around all day. The jumper I have paired with skirts and even a tulle for a nighttime look (Stay tuned for that one!)

IMG_5722

The jeans again are from Penneys (Primark) and are called “Boyfriend jeans”. Although in my opinion they are more fitted. They cost €15.

 IMG_5720

The jumper has a slashed neck which sits low on the shoulder, its so comfortable, its also slightly fitted on the bottom not giving it too slouchy a look!

rsz_img_5722 (2)

The heels again are Penneys (Primark) and are €11.

IMG_5710

Overall its a nice casual look for a lazy relaxing day, and grey is so big this season!

Hope you liked it

Until next time

Vintage Series ..the final look!

FashionFashion and Beauty Blog

IMG_5305

Aw its the final look of the Vintage series. I absolutely adored this collaboration with @MissDaisyblue and Emer @Irishfashaholic. It was so much fun and I adore vintage clothes. A beautiful piece is a beautiful piece it doesn’t matter what era its from. Beauty never fades!

IMG_5319

This top is divine and far far prettier in real life. The material (although you can’t see it) is almost sheer and see through and so delicate against my skin. I loved the frilling on the sleeves and necklace. Such a feminine look.

IMG_5322

I paired this vintage top from Miss Daisy blue with white jeans and nude heels. The jeans are River Island and you’ll find it here

IMG_5315

Vintage is so easy to upstyle girls and I hope after featuring this vintage series from Miss Daisy blue I have convinced you that its not only unique to wear vintage not to mention fashionable but very easy to wear in the current season.

Hope you enjoyed these post again thank you to Emer Irish Fashaholic and Breda Miss Daisy Blue. Go visit their store even if its just to play dress up you won’t be disappointed.

Until next time

My style …Two toned senorita!

My Style

IMG_5166

I am loving the bare shoulders look (cut out shoulders should I say) at the moment, its perfect for hot weather or a night out. I was heading on holidays mid July and had a mad dash to get a few bits for holiday nights out…I spotted this dress on a rail in Zara. I knew before I ever tried it on that it was going into my wardrobe. I had so much fun shooting this with Emer @Irishfashaholic shes such a talented photograher.

IMG_5172

This dress has an amazing top part with its cut out shoulders, thats what sold it for me. It is so comfy yet sexy if that makes sense? And the fit is great and suits my shape.

IMG_5188

A better look at the top part

IMG_5163

It is a fitted dress that’s for sure, when you are pulling it over your head you’ll notice this. As its two tone, its complimentary due to the cut and the eye is drawn up to the top part of the dress. It doesnt stick in all the wrong places.  I paired it with my new look tan suede heels again you’ll find them here

IMG_5195

I wore this dress on holidays and each time I paired it with these @Alex&Ani bracelets. Now who doesn’t love these? I adore the messages and meanings behind these bracelets

IMG_5179

And in case your wondering girls, this little dress was a steal at €29.95. It is in stock in some Zara stores unfortunately it is not online, even when I wanted to order it online after seeing it initially I couldn’t find it so have a look in you local stores. But there is similar dresses to this (just different colours)here and here

Hope you enjoyed this post

Vintage Series….Lovely Sequins

Fashion and Beauty BlogMy Style

Rest assured we all remember the 80’s era, the dynasty, dallas episodes with the shoulder pads and sequins. Love it or loathe it they knew how to make a beautiful piece without half the beading leaving a trial on the floor behind you.

As I mentioned I had such fun pottering in @Missdaisyblue and make no mistake, sequins are always part of the vintage collection. I had so much fun upstyling some vintage sequin tops for this collaboration with Miss Daisy blue and shooting with Emer from @Irishfashaholic. I can honestly say girls this is definitely a look you’d wear today!!

IMG_5294 (1)

For this look I paired this immaculate mint green vintage top with my white jeans (which are old from Zara but similar here for €29.95) And tan suede new look heels, for €39.99 available here.

IMG_5303

A close up of the Top bearing in mind girls this is a vintage piece, it is so easy to mistake this as a current piece in a boutique. Like I mentioned the quality is superb and the sequins all intact.  Breda at Miss Daisy blue has immaculate pieces like this one sourced from the US and Europe. The top is priced under €70 which is unbelievable considering some of the current pieces you’d buy at a more expensive price. Trust me I am guilty of these purchases, but none are as of good a quality as this piece.

IMG_5300

The top felt so comfortable and sat beautifully, I love the scallop hem and the colour is divine!

IMG_5301

I had these earrings sitting in my drawing since ages in fact I’m ashamed to say over a year, I picked them up from Ruby Rouge in Wexford as they stock great accessories, this pair worked perfectly with this outfit. But again its so easy to upstyle this vintage top.

IMG_5292

Even though I paired this top with a simple pair of white jeans it could be upstyled with anything, Black trousers, blue jeans, a skirt, mini or midi, it would be particularly pretty with a tulle skirt.

It goes to show you that just because its vintage doesn’t mean it cant be worn in the current season…a vintage piece can be worn in any era!

Hope you like the look and I’ll be back with more vintage pieces so stay tuned

Until then

My style ..Intricate lace

FashionMy Style

IMG_5132 (1)

I love soft colours and lace together, its always so eloquent and never dates. This look has been in my wardrobe for a while I’ve worn it a number of times but never quiet got around to shooting it. Its one of those outfits that can be worn for any occasion, christening, a girlie lunch, communion/confirmation, you name it!

IMG_5156

The Top I have a long time and ordered it from Chicwish, It is so versatile goes with numerous things in my wardrobe, you can dress it up or down. Its incredibly comfortable too. I loved it so much I picked up the black version too…I know thats bad haha but its just so nice! It was €35 and you can find it here. The sunglasses are Steve Madden and another investment from TK Maxx for a mere €26.99

IMG_5149

For this look I paired it with a pale pink colour trousers from Zara for €29.95, they are more a chino type trousers and can be paired with white trainers/converse too! Similar ones here. The heels are old but nude heels would look just as good.

IMG_5143

Its a simple look but quiet elegant, lace never dates and this top is certainly a bargain.

Hope you liked this post as much as I enjoyed shooting it.

Until next time

Vintage series …Vintage Dresses Part 2

FashionMy Style

At this stage guys, you will be aware of my collaboration with Miss Daisy blue here in Cork. It was so much fun playing dress up and the choice was phenomenal especially when it came to dresses. I have come to the realization that  if I had to go back in time, the 1950 era would have suited me perfectly. An hourglass figure dominated the look of the 1950s. With cinched-in waistlines and accentuated hips and busts, the style was a decidedly mature one. And this below epitomes this look and was one of the reasons I was drawn to it.

IMG_5358

With its tight cinched waist, billowing skirt, and pronounced bust line , it oozes the early 1950’s” wasp waist” silhouette.

IMG_5349

I loved the fullness of this skirt and there appears to be a built in petticoat underneath which wouldn’t have been uncommon in this era. Normally  the skirt could be worn with a petticoat underneath to give it added fullness or with a thin slip for easier movement. It also has layers of tulle and a satin fabric on the waist of the dress. It is simply divine!

IMG_5362

The detail on the back has been given as much attention as the front. I loved the ladylike bow that is used to fastening the back of the dress. How amazing is the quality of this dress given that it is vintage?

IMG_5382

The length of this dress was so apt for 1950’s as back then after the war ended they shortened the length a little from ankle to mid length or just below the knee. This is still very popular today in 2016 and this dress would be perfect for a wedding, races or even for a bride to be, if she wanted something a little different. I love the scooped neckline on this dress & with the draped fabric it oozes elegance. The pale pink pastel colour is beautiful and emphasizes the sophistication of the dress.

IMG_5399 (1)

I paired this vintage beauty with pom pom heels I picked up from River Island in the sale for €42 similar colour here

The dress is from Miss Daisy blue and all their details are available here it was roughly €270 & worth every penny!

All pics are by the amazingly talented Emer @Irishfashaholic, it was a super day and I felt like a princess in this dress

IMG_5355 (2)

(Pics @Irishfashaholic)

Hope you enjoyed this look girls and please go check out Miss Daisy blue, I guarantee you’ll find some iconic pieces.

Until next time

My style… floral prints

Fashion and Beauty BlogMy Style

For the whole summer I’ve been loving floral prints. It’s a nice change to see colour injected into the clothes in the form of floral prints. And this is here to stay for autumn winter.

I didn’t venture too much into the stores during the sales, the fact that I was moving house may have prevented that happening too! I did however manage to pop into @athlonetowncentre while at home and spotted this fab River Island skirt for €18 in the sale

IMG_5205

As it wasn’t in my size the girls in River island @athlonetowncentre ordered it online for me and were so helpful having it delivered to my nearest River Island store.

IMG_5235-3

I paired it with a bardot top from@ vanillaboutique which I love you can purchase it here and similar here

IMG_5237-3

A closer look at the Skirt, you can find similar here

Its such a comfy skirt and paired with a denim shirt it would be a super day time look.

IMG_5239-3

The earrings are from Parfois (I love parfois as its so inexpensive and you can get some fabulous accessories there have a look for yourselves here

IMG_5221-3

I love TK Maxx in @Athlonetowncenter and I picked up these sunnies for a steal at €16.99, they are Valentino! (TK maxx is great for that kind of thing) Bag is Carvela (as featured before, bought it in @Debenhams) Shoes are from a shoe shop in Donegal. A steal at €20!

It was so much fun shooting this look with Emer@Irishfashaholic she’s quiet the photographer and we always have a giggle!

Hope you liked the look, any questions just ask

Until next time
