Back to school back to blogging

Fashion and Beauty BlogMy Style

So the little ones are gone back to school…and its back to blogging with a bang……

Its always good to take time off from blogging, I know it may seem likes its pretty easy this blogging lark but to be honest it can take over, its a constant 24/7 if you allow it and it can be demanding..its hard to switch off and not reply instantly to the private messages you can get at any hour for people looking for advice or information. But I love what I do and I love helping people who have a fashion question or problem.

The reason I set up the blog was because I love fashion and I love helping those who find it frustrating or just struggle putting things together. Now and then its demanding so in the summer months I vowed to take a step back ..and take time off, time off to spend quality time with my gorgeous girls and family.

And what a summer we had, we traveled for 4 weeks across the states an experience I hope my girls will never forget. We spend quality time with my fabulous sister Jill and her beautiful kids…the remainder of the summer was spent by the Irish coast by the beach making memories!

It was the break I needed to get away from the world of social media and all that goes with it! So back and refreshed and ready to tackle the seasons ahead 🙂

So expect lots of fashion post in the next few months

Love

Put a bow on it!

FashionMy Style

Put a bow on it …loving this pencil skirt..

With its high waisted fit and bow to cover a multitude over the tummy area this dress is a dream.. I had been oowing and ahing over a similar skirt I spotted in Coast that was featured on Olivia Palermo, but its was that little bit too expensive for me. So when I spotted this one on Asos I simple had no hesitation in purchasing.

The colours are beautiful and its easy pair it up with any type of top. The one I’m wearing here is from Vanilla Boutique its old but I have found similar here from IClothing for €24.95..online here

The skirt is available here on Asos but is selling fast.

Apologies for the very little images but I have done a live video on this look and its available to view on my facebook page here

A huge thank you to Philip and the team at the Sheraton Hotel Athlone who allowed us shoot in this beautiful room, a better view on the video above.

Its an amazing hotel with beautiful views all over Athlone Town & the River Shannon, not to mention its attached to Athlonetowncentre, so plenty of shopping too which is even better!!

Pics by my talented Brother Derek Cassells and if you have any queries regarding the photography or video he created just message me.

Until next time

The Pretty Jumper

FashionMy Style

Jumper

The pretty jumper is always one I have in the wardrobe and replenish it over and over again..its handy for all types of seasons, but this particular one is handy for spring summer. This is the type of jumper you can wear with jeans, dressy tailored trousers, skirts or over dresses. The great all rounder!

I fell in love with this floral number the moment I saw it. I was thorn between two colours, the black or the white. But as its summer I felt the white would be more appropriate.

Its a really pretty delicate jumper. I am not normally drawn to florals but I do like this piece,  I think  the fact the florals are embroidered was the reason I liked it more. It is light weight so not too heavy.

A better look at the jumper. The tulle sleeves with embroidery make it that more elegant and delicate. The back is just plain which is nice as if there was more embroidery at the back of the top it would just become fussy! Its a lovely fit too and not at all baggy which is why I find it easy to pair it with dressy trousers and skirts. Its a nice neat fit. I picked it up from Vanilla Boutique I think from memory for €48. (Zara has similar in black here)

I paired it with these noisy may jeans €34.99 I got from Born Clothing I find these jeans a lovely fit too and the best bit is I’ve washed them lots now and the black has barely faded! The shoes are my regular nude heels from Asos that I featured in previous posts.

I have featured this bag before but I wanted to give you a proper look at it ..I picked it up in TK Maxx and it was the best buy ever. Its so handy as a cross body bag and I can fit everything bar the kitchen sink into it …I have to say I love TK maxx for bags and Sunglasses (the pair I’m wearing are also from TK Maxx)

I hope you liked this look and  thanks for reading xx

Monday blues…Not when you meet an amazing Photographer!

Fashion and Beauty BlogMy Style

7

In this industry the fashion/Blogging industry you meet all different types of people. In Cork there is an amazing network of people with huge support for one another, & in general in the blogger community. At the weekend I had the pleasure of meeting another like minded lady who has a serious passion for all things fashion and an unreal sense of style. She should have been in front of the camera and not behind the lens! I met with Irina from Happy Memories Photography who is an unbelievably talented and very creative photographer but an incredibly nice person. We clicked straight away and had an amazing morning shooting some looks.

Irina is based in the south east coast and photographs Children, families, weddings, fashion and any other type of occasion. She’s also starting to focus on personal branding photography so watch this space! Irina started it about 10 years ago and  trained with some of the best photographers in the UK, USA, Ireland and Russia. Which isn’t really too surprising as she is a very talented lady! I will leave all her details at the bottom of this post so please go follow her as you’ll love what she does.

For our Shoot Saturday I kept the look nice and casual..it was freezing so this wooly jumper kept me nice and snug!

Dungarvan 4

I picked this jumper up in Vanilla Boutique and I love the embroidered detail on it. Its more a dressy, casual type jumper. And so wearable with jeans or leather pants…The bag was a lovely gift from my Hubbie. (Yes I’m spoilt!)

Dungarvan Irina 5

The shoes I featured before and picked these up from Milanoo, they are over two years old but very good quality..these were less than €25  and are still available here.

The jeans are such a lovely blue denim and very comfortable, I picked them up in Stradivarius for a mere €19.95 and the Coat is Penneys a bargain at €35…its lovely and lightweight which will be ideal for Summer (currently in stock)!

I had so much fun working with Irina, she has an amazing ability to put you at ease when taking pictures. You’ll find all her details here and shes a wonderful photographer so go check her out.

The suede Trench Coat..

FashionMy Style

IMG_6498

So suede has gone crazy for winter, and huge this season…its everywhere and on every item of clothing be it tops, skirts, dresses jackets and coats. Its so nice and I opted for a suede trench coat. Its the texture and the warmth of it that sold it for me. Albeit lets hope the rain doesnt hit it 🙂

IMG_6504

For this look I paired it with my River Island leathers, again I purchased them last year but they still have them as they restock every year and you’ll find them in store and here. I also picked these boots up from TK Maxx, they are guess boots and were a steal at €45!

IMG_6509

Its the back of this trench that I love the way its shaped and the style of it. I like that its got a waterfall front too…I have paired it with Nike trainers too and looks just as good. This Coat is available from Vanilla Boutique and is now reduced in their sale for €45 a bargain!!

A little dress for all occassions!

FashionMy Style

We have that one dress we keep in the wardrobe that we can pull out for an occasions, and I’m not talking about a dress for a wedding etc. I’m talking about that one dress you can pull out if you have a family reunion dinner, a christening, a communion, or any type of occasion like that…more like a day time dressy occasion, (that is not a wedding) as we all have those type of events..

So I wanted to show you my one….and this is it! The one I’ll be pulling out of the wardrobe for any such occasion….

IMG_5795

The beauty about this dress is it looks like a skirt and top but its all in one…I can literally throw it on and head out the door. I love the easiness of it.

IMG_5823

Its a full navy coloured, swan design skirt and you can pair it with any type of heels…The back is button down which makes it that tiny bit different.

IMG_5828

Its a shirt type material on top which makes it very breathable and so comfy.

IMG_5806

The beauty of this dress girls is its on sale at the moment. This dress is from Vanilla Boutique . You can also wear these type of dresses for any occasion here, here here, & here

Heels were Littlewoods as before and Earrings Parfois.

Cork Fashion Hub ..What I wore

FashionMy Style

What a weekend ladies!!Phew Half dead after it 🙂

It was so quick but great fun….as you know from my snaps (@pamsfashion) Friday kicked off with Cork Fashion week.

It was a fantastic night in the Castlemartyr Hotel, with some amazing new Irish Designers showcasing their creations but I’ll have more on that later..

rsz_dsc_1247

I know a few of you were asking about my outfit for Day 2 of Cork fashion week, which was the Fashion Hub at Cork Opera House. So here’s the details!

I wore a coat from Vanilla Boutique, for more details contact the girls here  its a stunning piece and can also be worn as a dress.

rsz_dsc_1245

I popped a studded gold belt that I got a few years ago in mango around the waistband. The cuffs on this piece are so unique and matched the gold of the belt.

rsz_dsc_1326_2

The cuffs are almost like separate bracelets, I love them! The bag was a gift from my husband.

rsz_dsc_1249

The pants are Freddy jeans and you can buy them here

I will have a couple of more blog posts on Cork Fashion week with all the details on what we got up too.

Thanks to everyone for all the messages

Until next time

Casual Series: Jeans from day to night

FashionMy StyleUncategorized

IMG_5694

Everyone loves jeans, not only because they go with absolutely everything but are easy to dress up or down

So I couldn’t do a post on jeans, without showing you how to dress from day to night…I had my flats on with these earlier in the day (see previous posts for nude flats ) but by popping on a pair of heels on in the evening I’m ready for a night out!

rsz_20160922_163035_resized

This Bomber is from  Vanilla Boutique and was reduced to €35, its perfect with jeans for day or night time. Its got embellished details running it through it which makes it a little bit dressier. I guess that’s one reason why I love bomber jackets too, they go with everything. Check out a previous post I did a few weeks back on some of my favourite bombers here

rsz_20160922_163004_resized

A closer look of the embellishments running through it!

IMG_5695

Popping a pair of heels can transform any outfit, these heels were a bargain from Littlewoods at €15 which you can find here

Jeans are just super to throw on with any top/jumper/jacket and head out the door, These ones again are the penneys jeans but some of my all time favourite pair of jeans are Salsa and Zara jeans.

My style… floral prints

Fashion and Beauty BlogMy Style

For the whole summer I’ve been loving floral prints. It’s a nice change to see colour injected into the clothes in the form of floral prints. And this is here to stay for autumn winter.

I didn’t venture too much into the stores during the sales, the fact that I was moving house may have prevented that happening too! I did however manage to pop into @athlonetowncentre while at home and spotted this fab River Island skirt for €18 in the sale

IMG_5205

As it wasn’t in my size the girls in River island @athlonetowncentre ordered it online for me and were so helpful having it delivered to my nearest River Island store.

IMG_5235-3

I paired it with a bardot top from@ vanillaboutique which I love you can purchase it here and similar here

IMG_5237-3

A closer look at the Skirt, you can find similar here

Its such a comfy skirt and paired with a denim shirt it would be a super day time look.

IMG_5239-3

The earrings are from Parfois (I love parfois as its so inexpensive and you can get some fabulous accessories there have a look for yourselves here

IMG_5221-3

I love TK Maxx in @Athlonetowncenter and I picked up these sunnies for a steal at €16.99, they are Valentino! (TK maxx is great for that kind of thing) Bag is Carvela (as featured before, bought it in @Debenhams) Shoes are from a shoe shop in Donegal. A steal at €20!

It was so much fun shooting this look with Emer@Irishfashaholic she’s quiet the photographer and we always have a giggle!

Hope you liked the look, any questions just ask
