My Style and a little boutique in the south east!

Girls

You all know I’m all about affordable fashion and supporting local boutiques or not even local but Irish owned Boutiques.. I’ve said it so many times, everyone should pop into their local boutiques, you’ll be surprised what you’ll find and how inexpensive it can be…Everyone has this misconception that boutiques are expensive…yes some are but the majority of our Irish owned boutiques aren’t and you can find some lovely affordable pieces for any occasion. Times have changed and I have got some gorgeous pieces in the last few years from Irish owned Boutiques…

If you saw on my Facebook page the other night, I popped into a little gem of a shop located in the south east of Ireland, and discovered some beautiful pieces. In the thriving town of Dungarvan lies a Boutique called Signet-Boutique  it’s so pretty, they have an amazing collection and you’ll always find something that little bit special here. I’m lucky I visit Dungarvan a lot as my lovely sister lives there, so its hard not to pop into it when I’m visiting! Finola and the girls are incredibly helpful and so lovely. Last Saturday I popped in for a quick look, and let me tell you its never quick as you’ll be seduced by the stock!! So here’s a look at what I picked up ….

Crop pic of top

I adore this top from Signet its one of those tops that is perfect for a night out or catch up with the girls during the daytime/evening time, its dressy but can be worn casual. The detail on this top is incredible. I love the bow part and hems on the sleeves as they are all sequins while the rest of the top is a t-shirt type material. It is the most comfiest top I’ve worn. At  €59.99 it definitely looks a lot more!!

I paired the Top with my Freddy Leathers which you may have noticed I wear to death, I didn’t pick the leathers up in Signet but guess what ladies? Signet stock the freddy jeans and leathers!! Another good reason for you to pop in!!

Anytime I wear these leather pants I’m inundated with questions about them! They are extremely comfy and true to size.

Crop pic of heels

The heels are my all time bargain, picked these up in Penneys for €16 .. love them!

So girls do pop into Signet if you live or are down near the area, I promise you won’t be disappointed, they are also on facebook and I’m pretty sure they’ll take orders online!! This top is only one of many fabulous pieces they have in stock. Their link is here

Lots more looks in the pipeline and pretty busy for the next few weeks, but can I just thank Emer Irish Fashaholic for these amazing pictures. And how beautiful are the interiors in the Penthouse of the Clayton Hotel Cork City, want them for my own house :). I love working with Emer, always great fun and chats, and I wish her the best of luck with her new arrival on the way in a few weeks xx

How to style a tulle skirt: Part 2

FashionMy Style

IMG_5780

Following up from my previous post on Tulle skirts, here’s another option and how I style mine! This is most definitely a more dressier take!

A tulle skirt always needs a little bit of sparkle to dress it up…now as you well know I’m guilty of this!! (The tulle skirt is as before from @Hazel Comyn designs)

My wardrobe would make a magpie proud…its insane, my husband is bewildered with the amount of loose sequins he finds on his clothes etc! But who can resist?

IMG_5791

This sequin piece is a cape that I picked up months back on Asos. I had no idea where I needed it for but I knew I loved it and had to have it! Low and behold it goes fabulously with a lot of pieces in the wardrobe. For €45 it was a bargain and you’ll find  a few similar ones here

IMG_5788

This is such a fun outfit, the plain white top underneath is penneys picked it up for €5 before summer, and it goes perfectly with the cape. Because there is so much detail in the cape you need to keep everything underneath plain and simple.

The shoes are the same as the previous post and are an old pair from new look, but similar here

Again hope you like this look

Vintage Series…Sequins Jackets

FashionMy Style

Still sticking with sequins, what can I say I am a magpie when it comes to anything sparkly, always a girlie girl I guess!

IMG_5326

Another piece which caught my eye in Miss Daisy Blue, the sequin jacket…now if that doesn’t scream vintage I don’t know what does! This one is absolutely stunning, the intricate detailing on this jacket is amazing and not a loose or missing bead in sight…I’ll say it again, they really don’t make clothes like they used to years ago!

IMG_5333

I love this look and its something i’d wear for a night out with my girls! It was so easy to upstyle this. I paired it with my leather trousers from River Island (Picked up earlier this year) but they have similar in stock for €55 here and a penneys camisole I picked up for €4.99 about a month ago!

IMG_5346

Can we please take a minute to appreciate the workmanship on the back of this jacket, the detailing of the beading is incredible.

IMG_5329

The front too has amazing detail and the built in shoulder pads actually add to it. Its definitely my favourite piece from Miss Daisy blue. I think it was Emer’s favourite piece too (Emer from @Irishfashaholic shot all the pics for this look)

Again girls you could pair this with a skirt or white jeans and it would still look amazing.

IMG_5343

Who said vintage cant be upstyled and look current, all you need is to play dress up a little 🙂

Hope you enjoyed it as much as I did.

Until next time

My style: Stripes are alright! Keep it simple!

My Style

Hey my lovelies,

Yet another post on my style, my way..I have this secret obsession with stripes!!

I can never get enough of them, but you know what? they are a must have for any wardrobe. Stripes in any type top or jumper are such a classic piece and never date! They look great with blazers, coats or paired with jeans. And their biggest advantage is they are so practical!

This one above, I had been lusting over for an age, and when in +Athlone Towncentre Shopping Centre , one day with my sister I spotted it back in stock. Its from Zara for €29.95, available here, I love the material, its a fine knit with a stretch in it and its so comfy.

The thing about this sweater that appealed to me most is the high neck on it. I’m not a huge fan of polo necks maybe because I don’t have a long neck, so this type of style suits me better!

I know its coming into the Summer so the likelihood of getting lots of wear out of it in the next few months is slim, although it is Ireland and the Irish weather can be unpredictable. One things for sure, it will be pulled out of the wardrobe for autumn.

The sunglasses are Guess, that I picked up in +TK Maxx, I swear by it girls, TK Maxx has a great selection of sunnies for fabulous prices, you just need to be quick! Those pair were €39.99!

A better look at the sweater, the back of it dips a little more in length than the front, which is a style I’m loving.

I paired the sweater with leather pants, and these ones I picked up in River Island a while back for €24 (I know!!) still some in stock but very little sizes (here) . If you are looking for a nice Leather pair then I would recommend the Freddy Leather pants (they are amazing and currently on my wishlist!)  available here.

The bag, no words needed really..this was bought as a gift from my brother on his travels a few years ago, he did good really didnt he? Its divine and one of my most coveted things in the wardrobe!

I kept the whole look casual by adding my adidas superstars, I love these, so comfy and great for casual wear…mind you not quiet sure how I kept them so white in this pic! You can find them here

I also gave this outfit a run for its money over in Paris too and was super for strolling around the pretty Parisian streets, casual yet stylish.

Hope you enjoyed this post

Until next time
