Embroidered tops

Uncategorized

Embroidered tops, who else is obsessing about these?…I have I’d safely say about ten of them hanging in my wardrobe…much to my hubbies amusement..he reckons they are all the same or morphed into the same top!!

Embroidered top

This newest obsession above is from Zara, and it is so comfy especially with the humidity lately. It literally goes with everything and a super top to just throw on and look dressed up!

noisy may

I love the bell sleeves on this one too, sleeves are really having their moment this season aren’t they?..and I love the bell sleeve once its not down to my elbows otherwise I have an almighty mess at the end of the sleeve from mum duties!! You get the picture!

summertop

I paired this with these super soft jeans from Noisy may and are incredible value ..these have been worn and washed now about 50 times!! New Look heels are old stock unfortunately but they do have similar online.

A little close up of the top above. As you can see the embroidery is really pretty and its a gorgeous cotton top..I have worn this with a denim skirt and also paired it with shorts and white jeans and red heels. It washes really well and doesn’t loose its shape.. It really is a bargain buy and you’ll find the details of where to purchase here

A huge thank you to my brother Derek for these pics and to the Sheraton Athlone Hotel for use of their amazing rooms..

Hope you enjoyed this look and any questions just ask me

Until next time

Put a bow on it!

FashionMy Style

Put a bow on it …loving this pencil skirt..

With its high waisted fit and bow to cover a multitude over the tummy area this dress is a dream.. I had been oowing and ahing over a similar skirt I spotted in Coast that was featured on Olivia Palermo, but its was that little bit too expensive for me. So when I spotted this one on Asos I simple had no hesitation in purchasing.

The colours are beautiful and its easy pair it up with any type of top. The one I’m wearing here is from Vanilla Boutique its old but I have found similar here from IClothing for €24.95..online here

The skirt is available here on Asos but is selling fast.

Apologies for the very little images but I have done a live video on this look and its available to view on my facebook page here

A huge thank you to Philip and the team at the Sheraton Hotel Athlone who allowed us shoot in this beautiful room, a better view on the video above.

Its an amazing hotel with beautiful views all over Athlone Town & the River Shannon, not to mention its attached to Athlonetowncentre, so plenty of shopping too which is even better!!

Pics by my talented Brother Derek Cassells and if you have any queries regarding the photography or video he created just message me.

Until next time

Spring Style Sensation at Athlone Town Centre.

FashionFashion and Beauty Blog

Spring summer fashion 2017

What a weekend, chaos filled with fun and fashion and all sorts of gorgeousness! Last weekend Athlone Town Centre held their spring style sensation event showcasing all their collections for Spring summer Fashion 2017 that are available from all the stores. These included some of the top high street retailers and if you’re not familiar with the centre, then here s a post I done previously on all that Athlone Town Centre has to offer.

Myself, Shona from Sho Style and Tanya My little love stories (Two equally stylish bloggers) were asked to host our own style sections throughout each fashion show which were 1pm, 2pm & 3pm. First up was Shona and she pulled some fabulous looks which you can see more of here, followed by myself. I was delighted to be invited and given the opportunity to style some looks for the show and talk through the looks. It wasn’t something I have ever done before and surprisingly I as nervous as I thought i’d be…I think when you love and are passionate about something it helps and with all that Athlone town centre has to offer it made it that bit easier! The show was MC’d by the beautiful Holly Carpenter who was very down to earth and relaxed.

I was given 6 looks to choose, from a selection of stores, H&M, Quiz Clothing, Born Clothing, Oasis, Warehouse, and Topshop.

First Look was from Born Clothing worn by the gorgeous Katie.

17191908_10155115863601133_2288346355669468617_o

This was one of my favourite looks from the Collection as I love the versatility of a jumpsuit particularly this culotte jumpsuit. Its the perfect colour for spring/summer and for me its something I would wear to a communion or event. It is lovely and tailored and smart too, Its that little bit different to wearing a dress and will worn time and time again. This jumpsuit is by closet and retails for around €104 and is available  in all sizes ranging from 8 to a size 16. The bag €30 and shoes €35 were by Shoe Lace a fabulous shoe shop in the Centre. You’ll find all details for shoe lace boutique here

2nd Look was from Warehouse and worn by the stunning Victoria.

17097295_10155115864016133_6434755551962319341_o

This dress I want, it is so my style and I love the easiness of it. This is the kind of dress you can wear for a night out with the girls or dinner with your other half. I’d also wear this during the day but change the look by pairing it with ankle boots and a leather jacket. The dress retails at €61 which is a great price, my all time favourite and adding this to the wardrobe! These laser cut lace up heels are fab with this and are €35 from Shoe Lace.

3rd Look was from Oasis Clothing worn by the wonderful Dearbhla (an absolute lady)

Athlone Town Centre

I kept this look casual, as I’m a mum of two and always on the go with school runs, after school activities. I always have other things on myself while the kids are in school, so I wanted to do a dressy casual every day look. Its a look where all the pieces can be worn separately with anything else in your wardrobe. Oasis is perfect for those casual bits that everyone needs in their wardrobe and will be worn over and over again. This look can also be worn with white trainers too. The jeans are “Jade” and €51, the Flamingo Jumper (which I adore) is €52, Boyfriend Blazer is €52, Mia Multi strap heels €50, and star satchel €37.

4th look was from Quiz worn by the beautiful Ciara.

20170307_205814

This is actually a dress, but I styled the Dress with Jeans. I used it as a Top instead of a dress, I found it was more of a tunic style and with the height of Ciara it looked better as a top. Its a great look for the summer, dressed up with heels as above or flats for a day time look. Also on holidays you could wear the dress on its own. The Dress is €32.49, Jeans are €35.09 and Beige lace up heels are €45.49.

5th look was from Topshop worn by the elegant Aisling.

17159004_10155115866211133_326196710350078507_o

This popper skirt is divine, it is an off white suede colour but would go with anything, I paired it with black but you could also wear a brighter colour with it. It is a midi lenght but very flattering on any shape. it has an underskirt so that it doesn’t rise to high up the thigh. This type of outfit I would wear attending a relations communion, dinner or any family occasion. You could wear this other ways too by dressing it up with a black cami and biker jacket. Another one of my favourite of the day. The skirt is retailing at €68 and Jumper is €36, and the shoes are the models own.

Final look was from H&M and worn by the gorgeous Molly.

17157674_10155115865016133_1349952082012508823_o

This can be either a work to night out look, again all pieces can be worn seperately with other things in your wardrobe. The coat is fabulous and very tailored. It’s also a lovely lenght. Its retailed at €79.99, the blouse I adore and comes in other colours too, its a slight nod to the frill trend at the moment and again it can be worn with other items in the wardrobe.  This blouse retails at €24.99 and the trousers are €29.99.

It was so much fun and a great experience, a tad nerve wrecking as it can be daunting speaking to a large crowd, thanks to Holly for helping me to relax, and can I say well done to Tanya and Shona in their segments too.

17039374_10155115867076133_7680928740897878248_o

We had a fantastic day from start to finish, a huge thank you to Shirley and Aoife  and all the team at Athlone Town Centre for all their support and help. And for the beautiful and Professional Mandy and her equally gorgeous models at Catwalk Models.

Athlone Fashion Trail

FashionFashion and Beauty Blog

In case you all missed the 100’s of snaps (pamsfashion) last saturday, here’s the low down on what we got up to at Athlone Fashion Trail.

First off can I just say I was so delighted to be invited to attend this event by ITWBN as it was my hometown..I am all about supporting local in Ireland but particularly in Westmeath (My native homeplace) and my second home Cork! SO what was Athlone fashion trail all about??..well it involved us walking around Athlone town to visit some of the hottest shopping spots the town has to offer!!

I was giddy with excitement on Saturday 01st when I landed to our first stop Colm Quinn BMW for a quick breakfast, but it wasn’t the breakfast I was interested in, it was all the gorgeous BMW’s/Minis on display..Priorities!! Hubster if you’re reading this …christmas is coming no pressure!!

2016-10-04 23.54.50 (1)

It was just lovely to catch up with my fellow bloggers from the ITWBN blogger network too and watch all the hair and makeup happening backstage in Colm Quinns showrooms with the fabulous Catwalk Models…As the first show starting at 11pm we were chauffeured in style in BMW’s to Kadee Bridal. The temptation not to hijack our BMW was unreal!

DSC_1033 (2)

Kadee Bridal  was amazing there are no words for the beautiful Bridal dresses we saw..I seriously want to renew my vows..they also had a beautiful spread and prossecco waiting for us, and what a beautiful showroom…so elegant and tastefully decorated.

With a quick walk over the river Shannon with beautiful views of the Cathedral and Athlone Castle, we arrived at Burgess of Athlone, it was founded in 1839 and is famous for being the longest established department store in Ireland. It caters for all ages, both men, women and children, not to mentioned a gorgeous selection of homeware. Some fabulous brands and gorgeous stock for Autumn/Winter ’16.

DSC_1104 DSC_1107 (2)

A quick hop and we were outside Olivia Danielle, love this boutique for the glamour, they stock amazing pieces and I know this as fact, as it was one place I went to, to purchase a dress for my brothers wedding. Expect to find unique pieces in here for all occasions along with a selection of casual wear such as Freddy Jeans!

Now before I continue, can I begin by saying about the next stop, that I literally have shares in this place, and if I don’t well I absolutely should have!! Its none other than my favourite shopping centre, Athlone Town Centre, It has every high street store a girl could want under one roof. But you can read all about it in a previous post here We were treated to a fashion show, show casing all of what the stores have to offer.

DSC_1175 (3) DSC_1185 (4) DSC_1189 (3)

We most certainly had worked up an appetite after all the fashion shows and walking, so a quick nibble with delicious bites served from The Fatted Calf . This is one seriously tasty restaurant and one to pop at the top of your list of places to visit if your a foodie or even if you are not its just divine!

DSC_1180 (4)

Back at it in the afternoon and it was some more gorgeous outfits from Athlone town centre.

DSC_1191 (3)

(Above pic doing what we do best, capturing all the fashion to share with you guys!)

Next stop Clodagh Boutique which has gorgeous clothing catering for occasional and casual wear. Along with fabulous accessories.

And onto Nells Closet (an old haunt of mine before moving to Cork), this shop is a treasure chest, trust me when I say you will not leave empty handed! It has amazing stock and pieces…the wow factor! There was so many gorgeous dresses how could a girl even choose?

DSC_1210 (4)DSC_1207 (4)DSC_1206 (3)

With a quick stop back at Burgess, we then headed to the Radisoon Blu Hotel Athlone for the wrap party. Now I wont lie this hotel holds a special place in my heart as its where myself and Hubbie wed, so its always nice to pop in for a visit.

The whole day from start to finish was amazing and to all the sponsors above I couldn’t thank them enough for their generosity and treating us like royalty. Athlone is undoubtedly one of the best shopping meccas in Ireland not to mention the midlands, the trail only scratched the surface as to what’s on offer in Athlone and I think you’ll agree, a must shopping town to visit and spend a weekend or even a week in as you’ll just about manage to get to every fabulous boutique there!

Thanks again to Goldenegg.ie, Galway now, Iradio, ITWBN and all sponsors for a fantastic, well planned “day out” No mean feat with 24 fashion starved bloggers!.

Off now to massage my feet, traipsing around Athlone in heels is not for the faint hearted!

Until next time

Athlone Towncentre…The shopping haven of the midlands!!

FashionFashion and Beauty Blog

Right I may be biased but I do love this shopping center, there is nothing I love more than heading home and sneaking away minus kids into Athlone Town Centre, you midland ladies don’t know how lucky you are, having this on your doorstep!

20160708_113058_resized athlone town center

This weekend was no exception when visiting home, I hightailed it in there with my two sisters. Its like our home ritual if we’re all in Westmeath at the same time!!I actually think my older sister has a worse obsession for it than me!!!

(Pic: @athlonetowncenter)

A quick Coffee/Tea break in Starbucks and we’re off, normally we hit River Island and work our way around and up!

I am a TK Maxx addict and I have to say the store in the Town Centre is fantastic, I have picked up fabulous stuff in there, Sunnies, bags, shoes you name it I’ve nabbed it!!

As you know Zara is my second home, I’ve an obsession with it, I should have shares in the place at this stage!!! The one in Athlone Town centre is amazing, it has so much stock, I love it!!

Next victim is Oasis stores, yes I have recently spent half the bank balance in there ..seriously loving the floral prints at the moment.

They have fantastic shops in the center, Born clothing, Next,Marks and Spencers, shoe lace (A fab shoe shop with unbelievable prices), Vero Moda, JD Sports, Tommy Hilfiger, Pamela Scotts (picked up a fab pair of salsa jeans there recently) Fields, Monsoon, Topshop, River Island as I mentioned, Zara, Oasis, oh and did I say Warehouse, yes warehouse another one of my favourites. They also have one of the best H&M stores. I love nabbing things from H&M when I’m home, now I know there is a H&M in Cork city but its not the same as having all your favourite stores under the one roof!! They are just a few of the stores in the Centre, but there’s over 60 stores in there!

Screenshot_2016-07-11-23-08-11_resized20160708_110546_resized

They have Tiger which is lovely for quirky bits for the house, Sketchers is also a new addition, and do not get me started on McGorisks Pharmacy, for any beauty lover this place is a mecca for any type of beauty products you would need. They store AMAZING brands, cailyn, the balm, Flormar, Paese cosmetics, they have a huge selection those are only a handful of whats on offer. They are also stocking the fab bombay cups and candles, unfortunately they didn’t have my letter in stock at the weekend..no matter I will be back!! Any excuse!!

2016-07-12 23.03.49_resized 2016-07-12 23.04.08_resized

There is some fab restaurants if you feel peckish during the day and I would recommend “the Fattted Calf” it is divine!! And when your weight down with shopping bags just pop into the Sheraton for a little tipple!!

The centre is constantly organising superb events on a weekly or monthly basis not to mention special offers etc. Don’t believe me well check out some exciting events coming up in the next few weeks http://goo.gl/R8Wl8D Most recently I was lucky enough to attend a fabulous fashion show called the style sensation hosted by Susanne Jackson aka So Sue Me. It was also the final for Midlands Next Top Model, and the beautiful and deserving winner was Ciara Jennings, although all the contestants were gorgeous.

Some of the looks at Style Sensation, just gorgeous outfits from a variety of stores.

If you are looking for a centre that not only has fantastic brands in one roof, but organised activities on a regular basis then Athlone Town Centre is the place for it. Without its a shopping mecca of the midlands and they are constantly growing and increasing their brands and stores…now currently penciling in my next visit!! Pic below is the aftermath results of “every” visit to the Centre!
