Day to night tops!

FashionMy StyleUncategorized

littlewoods Top

Day to night tops are hard come by and when you find one my advise is nab it! This is a great one as its smart for during the day but equally as stylish for a night out with the girls straight after work!

Littlewoods Ireland

I love the lace in the top but I also love the white collar even more, it makes it the perfect day to night top. A monochrome look never dates and this top can be worn with tailored black trousers also. Its from Littlewoods Ireland and designed by none other than Myleene Klass its reduced here to €40.50 here.

Here’s a closer look at the top..it has see through sleeves and is see through half way down the back, its so elegant and the fit is true to size. The quality is excellent and very comfortable on. I have also worn this with blue jeans for a more casual look.

Freddy Leathers

Again I am living in this Freddy leather trousers, I can honestly say they were a great buy, I have got more than the price per wear on these. So I’d highly recommend them if you are even considering buying them. The heels are Penneys’ and a great buy as they go with loads in the wardrobe.  This top would look good tucked into a black skater skirt. To finish this look above, I always throw on a camel coat with it and it looks very smart and chic at the same time.

lace top

If you need any more details just ask you can pm on my facebook page here.

I hope you enjoyed this look.

A statement Coat

FashionMy Style

A statement coat is a key piece for any wardrobe at any age. It can be thrown over anything and look amazing. You could have your pj top on underneath and no one would know, a beautiful coat can hide anything underneath!!

I’m lucky I have quiet a few nice ones and they always come in handy when I’m not really feeling it with an outfit. Or I want to give an outfit that finishing touch before heading out the door. A statement coat will last forever too and always get noticed!! I don’t know how many times I’ve asked some of the girls at the school gates where they got their fabulous coats!! And you know what…. a statement coat is great to have if you are pregnant too!

The thing is you will get so much wear out of a good coat and our lovely Irish weather will make sure of it 🙂 Now I know its sunny in these pics but by god was it freezing and I was ever so glad we were shooting a coat!!

This Statement Coat is a cape and I absolutely love it…it was a complete surprise from my hubbie at christmas..now I badgered him into getting me a completely different coat from Zara (another one I love) because I had no idea he had already bought me this coat. Poor man heart broken with me!! The Cape is Jovanna London but unfortunately its sold out. But here are some beautiful coats that will outlast your wardrobe ! Try Here, here here, & here,

The blouse is a vintage blouse I picked up at EvaMayVintage who has amazing pieces so check her out as you will get one off beauties at her boutique. There are similar blouses here here, and here. The leather pants are Freddy leathers as before.

And the bag I picked up on depop which is a great app if you don’t have it..you can get some great bits on it.

Now I know Summer is coming but in my opinion, its always important to have a good quality tailored coat hanging in the wardrobe!

Casual outfit wearing Grey jeans Part 1

FashionFashion and Beauty BlogUncategorized

I love a casual outfit particular grey jeans, they are that one colour that seems to go with everything. I completely forgot about this pair hanging in the wardrobe. And when I pulled them out I couldn’t resist popping them on and wearing them with everything else grey in my wardrobe 🙂

Casual Outfit

They re the kind of jeans that go with all types of colours, I’d normally pair them with a white top, or pink jumper, denim shirt , you have endless choices. These jeans are actually from Tesco F&F clothing. At the time prior to buying them, I had been to-ing and fro-ing about buying grey jeans as I wasn’t sure whether I’d wear them or not. I bought these ones for €28 they are body shaping ones and are quiet nice. They actually still stock them. Since I pulled them out I have begun to love wearing the grey jeans and will be in investing in more pairs. These ones are been worn to death!

sleeveless coat

In order to keep it a casual outfit look, I paired them with a fine knit Zara jumper, I love the detail on the sleeve it has pearls and a slight frill, which makes it very pretty and easy to dress up. You can find it here.

Grey waistcoat

I threw this New look sleeveless coat over the whole outfit as its still quiet cold out. I love this one as I wear it with everything, I bought it over a year ago but they did bring it back in again this year. However they appear to be sold out at the moment. Oasis has a similar one in the sale and available here.

leopard print

Of course me being me, I had to add a little bit of fun to the outfit and to lift it a bit, hence the leopard print heels. I think they actually work with the outfit and are a nice change to a block coloured heel. They are fun too, these heels are old from New look but there is similar available here and here.

I’ll have more looks on how to style a grey pair of jeans and let me know how you style them?

Until next time

Spring Style Sensation at Athlone Town Centre.

FashionFashion and Beauty Blog

Spring summer fashion 2017

What a weekend, chaos filled with fun and fashion and all sorts of gorgeousness! Last weekend Athlone Town Centre held their spring style sensation event showcasing all their collections for Spring summer Fashion 2017 that are available from all the stores. These included some of the top high street retailers and if you’re not familiar with the centre, then here s a post I done previously on all that Athlone Town Centre has to offer.

Myself, Shona from Sho Style and Tanya My little love stories (Two equally stylish bloggers) were asked to host our own style sections throughout each fashion show which were 1pm, 2pm & 3pm. First up was Shona and she pulled some fabulous looks which you can see more of here, followed by myself. I was delighted to be invited and given the opportunity to style some looks for the show and talk through the looks. It wasn’t something I have ever done before and surprisingly I as nervous as I thought i’d be…I think when you love and are passionate about something it helps and with all that Athlone town centre has to offer it made it that bit easier! The show was MC’d by the beautiful Holly Carpenter who was very down to earth and relaxed.

I was given 6 looks to choose, from a selection of stores, H&M, Quiz Clothing, Born Clothing, Oasis, Warehouse, and Topshop.

First Look was from Born Clothing worn by the gorgeous Katie.

17191908_10155115863601133_2288346355669468617_o

This was one of my favourite looks from the Collection as I love the versatility of a jumpsuit particularly this culotte jumpsuit. Its the perfect colour for spring/summer and for me its something I would wear to a communion or event. It is lovely and tailored and smart too, Its that little bit different to wearing a dress and will worn time and time again. This jumpsuit is by closet and retails for around €104 and is available  in all sizes ranging from 8 to a size 16. The bag €30 and shoes €35 were by Shoe Lace a fabulous shoe shop in the Centre. You’ll find all details for shoe lace boutique here

2nd Look was from Warehouse and worn by the stunning Victoria.

17097295_10155115864016133_6434755551962319341_o

This dress I want, it is so my style and I love the easiness of it. This is the kind of dress you can wear for a night out with the girls or dinner with your other half. I’d also wear this during the day but change the look by pairing it with ankle boots and a leather jacket. The dress retails at €61 which is a great price, my all time favourite and adding this to the wardrobe! These laser cut lace up heels are fab with this and are €35 from Shoe Lace.

3rd Look was from Oasis Clothing worn by the wonderful Dearbhla (an absolute lady)

Athlone Town Centre

I kept this look casual, as I’m a mum of two and always on the go with school runs, after school activities. I always have other things on myself while the kids are in school, so I wanted to do a dressy casual every day look. Its a look where all the pieces can be worn separately with anything else in your wardrobe. Oasis is perfect for those casual bits that everyone needs in their wardrobe and will be worn over and over again. This look can also be worn with white trainers too. The jeans are “Jade” and €51, the Flamingo Jumper (which I adore) is €52, Boyfriend Blazer is €52, Mia Multi strap heels €50, and star satchel €37.

4th look was from Quiz worn by the beautiful Ciara.

20170307_205814

This is actually a dress, but I styled the Dress with Jeans. I used it as a Top instead of a dress, I found it was more of a tunic style and with the height of Ciara it looked better as a top. Its a great look for the summer, dressed up with heels as above or flats for a day time look. Also on holidays you could wear the dress on its own. The Dress is €32.49, Jeans are €35.09 and Beige lace up heels are €45.49.

5th look was from Topshop worn by the elegant Aisling.

17159004_10155115866211133_326196710350078507_o

This popper skirt is divine, it is an off white suede colour but would go with anything, I paired it with black but you could also wear a brighter colour with it. It is a midi lenght but very flattering on any shape. it has an underskirt so that it doesn’t rise to high up the thigh. This type of outfit I would wear attending a relations communion, dinner or any family occasion. You could wear this other ways too by dressing it up with a black cami and biker jacket. Another one of my favourite of the day. The skirt is retailing at €68 and Jumper is €36, and the shoes are the models own.

Final look was from H&M and worn by the gorgeous Molly.

17157674_10155115865016133_1349952082012508823_o

This can be either a work to night out look, again all pieces can be worn seperately with other things in your wardrobe. The coat is fabulous and very tailored. It’s also a lovely lenght. Its retailed at €79.99, the blouse I adore and comes in other colours too, its a slight nod to the frill trend at the moment and again it can be worn with other items in the wardrobe.  This blouse retails at €24.99 and the trousers are €29.99.

It was so much fun and a great experience, a tad nerve wrecking as it can be daunting speaking to a large crowd, thanks to Holly for helping me to relax, and can I say well done to Tanya and Shona in their segments too.

17039374_10155115867076133_7680928740897878248_o

We had a fantastic day from start to finish, a huge thank you to Shirley and Aoife  and all the team at Athlone Town Centre for all their support and help. And for the beautiful and Professional Mandy and her equally gorgeous models at Catwalk Models.

Cosy knitwear for Spring weather

FashionFashion and Beauty BlogMy Style

123

I love having some nice cosy jumpers in the wardrobe. The ones that make you feel all snugly when its so cold outside and dull. Or when you don’t want to be all dressed up but yet want to look stylish even if you are layered up like an Eskimo. Hence these fine knitwear jumpers are perfect for the wardrobe, warm enough to layer up yet perfect for a crisp spring day.

138

Now I know I posted this on my facebook page wearing it a slightly different way than it should be worn. Pippa O’Connor posted the same jumper on the same day wearing it the correct way over the shoulders and put me to shame!. Personally I think it can be worn either 🙂 Albeit it I’m no Pippa O’Connor no question about that and over the shoulder is fabulous too 🙂 This is the cosiest jumper I have in the wardrobe, its a fine knit and the wool is ever so soft. You can get this jumper here for €29.95. They are also available in other colours so I may need to invest 🙂

130 (1)

I like the ease of this jumper, where you can throw it on over jeans and I have a couple of different coloured leather skirts that I wear with it too. The blue jeans are from Stradivarius for €19.95 and you’ll find them here

90

I paired it with my Zara military wool coat which is so warm, and goes with everything. Unfortunately its sold out but you will find similar here and here. Nude shoes are from Asos but are sold out, however penneys currently have similar in stock at the moment.

130

So girls if you aren’t in possession of similar jumpers in your wardrobe, id recommend maybe getting some. They are super handy to throw on and great to keep you warm if the weather is anyway cool.

The pics are by the fabulous Irina from Happy Memories Photography who I cant wait to catch up with this week xx

Pink is the new black!

FashionFashion and Beauty BlogMy Style

IMG_6979

I am loving the spring colours creeping in but in particular all those candy/bubblegum pinks and hot pinks. They are such a lovely change from black and perfect for Spring/Summer. In fact I love all the bright colours that pop up around this time of the year. And with this dull weather I find it really refreshing. I tend to purchase things now for the summer wardrobe too. Main reason being, we never really get much of a summer here in Ireland but I hate to wear dark colours during the summertime even if the weather feels like its confused and cold!! Hence its always a good idea to pick up bright jumpers/Tops/coats now

The thing about pink is it goes with absolutely everything blue jeans/black/grey jeans, oh and so perfectly with white!

IMG_6988

Not only am I loving the pink but I adore all things frills at the moment, this little beauty above is Savida. Its like a sweatshirt material which I love but it can be dressed up. Dunnes Stores have really improved their branding and their style of clothing. This is from the Savida brand, which would have been regarded as a little more expensive but believe it or not this was €30 and is still available online here

IMG_6987

I choose to wear mind with my black leathers but I’m planning on wearing these with white jeans when it becomes acceptable to pull them out and as the weather gets dryer!

IMG_6991

The bag was a gift from hubbie as before and the heels are penneys as before also (They are current stock and €16)

There is some gorgeous pink clothing for this season girls so dont be afraid to try it out. Plus there is different options of hues in the colour pink, so something to suit every complexion

Happy Monday

183

I’m in the midst of packing I hate packing but especially if its just a carry on bag…I mean seriously I have a 101 things I want to bring but impossible to fit…as I’m packing I came across this embellished Jacket. I love embellished jackets or tops as they work with everything!

187

I picked it up in Zara during January, it was on sale and quiet a bargain, unfortunately its now gone but I have seen similar here and here. The thing about these type jackets is there are super for any event ..I paired mine with a casual pair of jeans but leathers would look great with them or skirts or just thrown over a dress/jumpsuit!

161 (1)

The jeans are Stradivarius, they have a slight distressed look and are the most comfiest jeans I own, at €19.05 they are a steal and you’ll find them here. The heels are current and from Penneys, they were €16.

189

The bag is vintage and I adore it, Its a leather Louis Vuitton clutch and I picked it up in an old vintage shop in a London flee market…best buy ever and got it for a steal less than €40!

168

I love a statement earring too if I’m not wearing any necklace, personally I feel if the top/jacket is embellished then you dont need much more than earrings. These are HM and were €9.99 got them December last year but they are still in stock online here

180

The pics are by the fabulous Irina Happy Memories Photography love them xx

Hope you enjoyed this post ladies and any questions just ask, so with that I better get back to my packing and this jacket is coming with me, can wear it day or night!

My Style and a little boutique in the south east!

FashionMy Style

IMG_7153

Girls

You all know I’m all about affordable fashion and supporting local boutiques or not even local but Irish owned Boutiques.. I’ve said it so many times, everyone should pop into their local boutiques, you’ll be surprised what you’ll find and how inexpensive it can be…Everyone has this misconception that boutiques are expensive…yes some are but the majority of our Irish owned boutiques aren’t and you can find some lovely affordable pieces for any occasion. Times have changed and I have got some gorgeous pieces in the last few years from Irish owned Boutiques…

If you saw on my Facebook page the other night, I popped into a little gem of a shop located in the south east of Ireland, and discovered some beautiful pieces. In the thriving town of Dungarvan lies a Boutique called Signet-Boutique  it’s so pretty, they have an amazing collection and you’ll always find something that little bit special here. I’m lucky I visit Dungarvan a lot as my lovely sister lives there, so its hard not to pop into it when I’m visiting! Finola and the girls are incredibly helpful and so lovely. Last Saturday I popped in for a quick look, and let me tell you its never quick as you’ll be seduced by the stock!! So here’s a look at what I picked up ….

Crop pic of top

I adore this top from Signet its one of those tops that is perfect for a night out or catch up with the girls during the daytime/evening time, its dressy but can be worn casual. The detail on this top is incredible. I love the bow part and hems on the sleeves as they are all sequins while the rest of the top is a t-shirt type material. It is the most comfiest top I’ve worn. At  €59.99 it definitely looks a lot more!!

IMG_7150

I paired the Top with my Freddy Leathers which you may have noticed I wear to death, I didn’t pick the leathers up in Signet but guess what ladies? Signet stock the freddy jeans and leathers!! Another good reason for you to pop in!!

IMG_7141

Anytime I wear these leather pants I’m inundated with questions about them! They are extremely comfy and true to size.

Crop pic of heels

The heels are my all time bargain, picked these up in Penneys for €16 .. love them!

So girls do pop into Signet if you live or are down near the area, I promise you won’t be disappointed, they are also on facebook and I’m pretty sure they’ll take orders online!! This top is only one of many fabulous pieces they have in stock. Their link is here

IMG_7157

Lots more looks in the pipeline and pretty busy for the next few weeks, but can I just thank Emer Irish Fashaholic for these amazing pictures. And how beautiful are the interiors in the Penthouse of the Clayton Hotel Cork City, want them for my own house :). I love working with Emer, always great fun and chats, and I wish her the best of luck with her new arrival on the way in a few weeks xx

Monday blues…Not when you meet an amazing Photographer!

Fashion and Beauty BlogMy Style

7

In this industry the fashion/Blogging industry you meet all different types of people. In Cork there is an amazing network of people with huge support for one another, & in general in the blogger community. At the weekend I had the pleasure of meeting another like minded lady who has a serious passion for all things fashion and an unreal sense of style. She should have been in front of the camera and not behind the lens! I met with Irina from Happy Memories Photography who is an unbelievably talented and very creative photographer but an incredibly nice person. We clicked straight away and had an amazing morning shooting some looks.

Irina is based in the south east coast and photographs Children, families, weddings, fashion and any other type of occasion. She’s also starting to focus on personal branding photography so watch this space! Irina started it about 10 years ago and  trained with some of the best photographers in the UK, USA, Ireland and Russia. Which isn’t really too surprising as she is a very talented lady! I will leave all her details at the bottom of this post so please go follow her as you’ll love what she does.

For our Shoot Saturday I kept the look nice and casual..it was freezing so this wooly jumper kept me nice and snug!

Dungarvan 4

I picked this jumper up in Vanilla Boutique and I love the embroidered detail on it. Its more a dressy, casual type jumper. And so wearable with jeans or leather pants…The bag was a lovely gift from my Hubbie. (Yes I’m spoilt!)

Dungarvan Irina 5

The shoes I featured before and picked these up from Milanoo, they are over two years old but very good quality..these were less than €25  and are still available here.

20

The jeans are such a lovely blue denim and very comfortable, I picked them up in Stradivarius for a mere €19.95 and the Coat is Penneys a bargain at €35…its lovely and lightweight which will be ideal for Summer (currently in stock)!

I had so much fun working with Irina, she has an amazing ability to put you at ease when taking pictures. You’ll find all her details here and shes a wonderful photographer so go check her out.

The day dress for any wardrobe …My style

FashionFashion and Beauty BlogMy StyleUncategorized

IMG_6552

A girl can never have too many dresses right?? And we always manage to find the perfect dress for a night out..but how impossible is it to find a nice day dress these days..One that will go with any type of boot be it ankle or knee high along with a pair of heels.

This one I spotted flying through Dunnes one day and though it was perfect. It sits so nice on and the shape is so forgiving. Its great paired with heels and ankle boots but for this shoot I popped on a pair of knee highs which I picked up last January in the River Island sales. There is similar here for €54!

IMG_6555

I love the detail in the top part of the dress it has frills and is really pretty. The neckline is lovely too. It is by Savida and there is a few still available in store, it is sold out online. The only thing I will say is size up on this.

IMG_6547

I loved the lenght too and it looks great with opaque tights. I throw a fur collar over it, the collar is vintage but penneys are doing similar and swamp clothing.

So there’s my perfect day time dress for you girls

Hope you like,

Until next time
